Zusammenfassung:Since the end of the 20th century, the interlinking of machinery and data digitalization takes the center-stage of the fourth industrial revolution. 'Industry 4.0' stands for a complex interlinking of manufacturing processes. Objects of everyday use are becoming more and more intelligent and some of them even have self-learning capabilities. Especially the last aspect represents the starting point of a new development within the steelmaking industry.
