Zusammenfassung: | Three types of cytoskeletal protein filaments, namely, microtubules, F-actin and intermediate filaments, were evaluated. These three types of filaments, mainly forming the framework of the cytoskeleton, can adhere with each other through specialized structures in cell membranes although they possessed different viscoelastic properties. Also, the filaments have different responses to mechanical stresses possibly forming bundles of filamentous polymers. |
