Zusammenfassung:	Highlights • TNFα−/− mice have normal basal responses in the forced swim test and tail suspension test. • TNFα is required for the behavioral response to antidepressants, although high acute doses of antidepressants can overcome this requirement. • Astrocytes are the key source of TNFα for antidepressants, and respond to elevation of serotonin by upregulating TNFα production.
