Zusammenfassung: | In accordance with the Code, actions are taken to preserve nomenclatural stability of 6 taxa currently belonging to Erirhinidae. Having met the conditions of ICZN Article 75.3 the neotypes of the following taxa are designated: Curculio festucae Herbst, 1795, C. holomelanus Herbst, 1795, C. inspectatus Herbst, 1795 and C. rhamni Herbst, 1784. Lectotypes of Curculio inquisitor Herbst, 1797 and C. obliteratus Herbst, 1795 are also designated. Curculio inquisitor Herbst, 1797 is newly synonymized with Thryogenes festucae (Herbst, 1795). The following synonymies are confirmed: Notaris aethiops (Fabricius, 1793) = Curculio holomelanus Herbst, 1795, Tanysphyrus lemnae (Fabricius, 1793) = Curculio inspectatus Herbst, 1795, Grypus brunnirostris (Fabricius, 1793) = Curculio obliteratus Herbst, 1795, Notaris scirpi (Fabricius, 1792) = Curculio rhamni Herbst, 1784. Following the provisions of ICZN Article 23.9.3 the reversal of precedence of Notaris scirpi (Fabricius, 1792) (formerly Curculio) over Curculio rhamni Herbst, 1784 will be requested to the ICZN Commission.
