Zusammenfassung: | In a comparison of subcortical beetles present in dead Scots pine and Norway spruce trunks from both managed and primeval forests in Finland, the numbers of both individuals and species were higher for the trees from the managed forest, even though the surface areas of the trunks were smaller. More were represented in the sample from the primeval forest. Species abundances differed markedly for each forest, although most species occurred in both locations. |
