Zusammenfassung:Topshell fishing experiments were conducted using two kinds of topshell trammel net, ordinary type and pilot type, and a bottom fish trammel net in the west of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, from October 1990 to June 1991. Of a total of 391 topshell, Turbo cornatus , obtained in the experiments, 139 were caught by the ordinary type, 169 by the pilot type and 84 by the fish trammel net. The mean CPUE were nearly equal.
