Zusammenfassung:The performance of an adaptive antenna array is usually expressed in terms of the average signal-to-interference plus noise ratio increase with respect to a conventional sectored antenna (ΔSINR). A complete statistical characterisation of the ΔSINR performance is provided, obtained with different adaptive antennas in real WCDMA scenarios by means of cumulative distribution functions. It is shown that ΔSINR depends not only on the beamforming algorithm but also on the spatial user distribution and service profile.
