Zusammenfassung:A new species of the previously monotypic genus Intesius, I. crosnieri, is described from 500 m depth in French Polynesia. New records of I. pilosus Guinot et richer de Forges, 1981 are also recorded from off north Queensland, Australia. The two species can be easily separated by the shape of the carapace and anterolateral teeth. Figures are provided of both species.
