Zusammenfassung:The abilities of various polymer adsorbents to separate methanol from a hydrocarbon mixture were compared. The adsorption of methanol on basic ion-exchangers is partially irreversible due to the strong interaction of methanol with active groups. The reversible adsorption is connected with the swelling of a part of the ion-exchanger polymer mass. Methanol adsorption was completely reversible on cellulose adsorbent Perlosa MT-100. The cellulose adsorbent had the lowest capacity but the best adsorption kinetics.
