Zusammenfassung:	An investigation of the natural products chemistry of the brown alga Glossophora kunthii, collected from the Mokes Island group, New Zealand, yielded the new hydroazulenoid diterpene 8β-11-dihydroxypachydictyol A, and the previously reported metabolites dictytoxide, pachydictyol A, dilophol and dictyodial. The structure of the new compound was determined from the interpretation of its 1D and 2D NMR, IR and mass spectral data.
