Zusammenfassung:Wavelength insensitive operation of a Fabry-Perot laser integrated with a Mach-Zchnder modulator is demonstrated, in an external fibre grating configuration from 1,540 mm to 1,560 nm. The threshold current is ∼40mA with 0.2 mW output power coupled into a fibre at 80 mA. Open eye diagrams at 2.5 Gbit/s and 10 Gbit/s as well as transmission at 2.5G bit/s with negative penalty have been obtained.
