Zusammenfassung:Viscous incompressible fluid flow in sliding bearings is calculated numerically for four configurations on the basis of the system of Navier-Stokes equations. Various flow regimes including those with the formation of recirculation zones are obtained. A parameter range over which the flow deviates considerably from the Stokes flow model is determined.
