Zusammenfassung:Results are cited for investigation of the deformation properties of deep-seated deposits in the area of Saint Petersburg. A procedure is proposed for processing results of static-penetration tests with consideration of the coefficient of anisotropy. A relationship between variation in the compression modulus and depth of soils in the undisturbed stratum of Vend deposits is derived.
