Zusammenfassung:A compact frequency selective surface (FSS) with ultra-wideband bandpass response is presented. Its -3 dB bandwidth is from 5.85 GHz to 18.45 GHz and the unit periodicity is about λ^sub 0^/9 for the lower passband. Moreover, such a FSS has the merits of low profile, flat passband and stable performance for various incident angles within 30 degree Celsius and different polarisations. The design procedure and measurement results of the FSS are presented and discussed.
