Zusammenfassung:Highlights • We analyzed total and male DNA content in fingernail specimen after scratching the male partner. • Male DNA content in scratching and non-scratching fingernails differed highly significantly. • Maximum male DNA in non-scratching fingers was 13.4 pg/μl. • Approximately 31% of scratching fingers had a male DNA content of 0 pg/μl. • Mean male DNA content was 16 fold higher in scratching vs. non-scratching fingers.
