Zusammenfassung: | An approach to modeling the intensity distribution from a rough thin sediment region that uses incoherent facet scattering has been extended to the time domain. This provides a mathematical method for comparing spreading simultaneously in time and angle, as well as computing various measures of these spreads such as the standard deviation or 3 dB down point. It is shown that the relationship between the time-spread standard deviation and the angle-spread standard deviation is approximately linear, enabling one to be predicted from a measurement of the other. |
