Zusammenfassung:Dyke-Davidoff-Masson syndrome (DDMS) is a rare malformation characterized by cerebral hemiatrophy and skull changes such as calvarial thickening and overdevelopment of paranasal sinuses on the atrophied side. The major clinical manifestations are contralateral hemiparesis, epileptic seizures and/or mental retardation. It results from brain damages which occur during the fetal or early childhood periods while the brain is still developing. Common causes of DDMS include cerebral vascular abnormalities, trauma, infections, tumors, febrile seizures, cerebral ischemic and haemorrhagic conditions [1].
