The effect of Parkinson’s disease and levodopa on adaptation of anticipatory postural adjustments

Highlights • Gross adaptation of APAs to changes in postural support is preserved in PD. • Fine adjustment of postural control with repetition is compromised by levodopa. • Negative effect of levodopa maybe due to dopamine overdose of the ventral striatum.
