Zusammenfassung: | The results of a limnological survey of two aquatic systems of tropical high mountain, Chingaza lagoon and Chuza dam, are presented. It was concluded that both systems are oligotrophic and that nitrogen is the limitant nutrient. Besides the small variation of the monthly average temperature, there are seasonal variations respect dominance between the different algae groups, Dinophyceae, Chrysophyceae and Cyanophyceae at Chuza dam, and Desmidiaceae, Bacillariophyceae and Cyanophyceae at Chingaza lagoon. Finally, models explaining the functioning of these systems and some alternatives for an adequate management are presented. |
