Zusammenfassung:Williams discusses how and when powers are exercised, in an effort to clarify what constitutes a genuine counter-example to necessity. He then offers an initial response regarding the nature of stimulation, and step from that to a possible way necessity might be restored, which ultimately he finds untenable. However, the untenable response sheds light on how a genuine response can be generated. Moreover, he details strategies for coping with a lingering worry for the positive account.
