Zusammenfassung:On the history, material composition, and executive technique of a large sculpted wax model of a skeleton (H. 210 cm; Florence, Museo di storia naturale "La Specola") made in 1805 by the artist and anatomical wax sculptor Clemente Michelangelo Susini (1757-1814) and his pupil Francesco Calenzuoli. Describes the prior state of conservation of the sculpture, and the scientific analyses and recent restoration by the Opificio. The work is displayed a base within an historic wood and glass case, also now restored.
