Instruments and procedures for short-lived radon decay products

A short review of the basic methods for determining content ofradon decay products aerosols in the air by means of measuring air sample for alpha- or beta- activity is presented in the paper. The value of latent energy is taken as a parameter being measured. The expediency of application of some methods both for nuclear raw materials mining and for low concentration monitoring in dwellings is analyzed. Short descriptions of typical devices, realizing the mentioned methods are given.
