Zusammenfassung: | Thajudeen et al discuss the case of 49-year-old man who was referred for a second opinion after receiving multiple shocks from his single-chamber implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD). Recurring shocks to the patient, compounded by imaging evidence of lead displacement, led to a diagnosis of reel syndrome. After confirming the diagnosis, the treatment of lead dislodgement involves surgical lead revision and device reimplantation. The patient was scheduled for lead revision and placement of a new ICD system. |
