The subject of the infinitive in Romanian

The article gives a detailed description of the three types of subjects that the Romanian infinitive may take - controlled, raised, and lexical subjects -, bringing new information both from the contemporary and from the old language. The data is often compared to the situation in other Romance languages. The constraints to which the three types are subject will be presented by using tools and concepts borrowed from the generative framework. Adapted from the source document
