Zusammenfassung:The bean is a plant nutrient and quite demanding, because it has a short life cycle, they need readily available in times of demand, not to limit productivity. Since the importance of fertilizing the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of increasing doses of potassium in the initial development of string bean black. The experiment was conducted in an area belonging to FATEC Cariri, Juazeiro - CE, using five potassium fertilizer levels (0, 8.5, 17, 22.5 and 34 kg ha-1 of potassium chloride) and three sampling times, composing a split plot with three replications. Doses of potassium chloride applied and the collection time significantly affected the stem height; responses of the variables were adjusted significantly to the model school for the doses of potassium chloride in stem height and the linear model for times collections in height and stem diameter.
