Preventive effect of α-lipoic acid on prepulse inhibition deficits in a juvenile two-hit model of schizophrenia

Highlights • α-Lipoic acid normalized PPI deficits in a two-hit model of schizophrenia. • The effect of α-lipoic acid was accompanied by a decrease of the oxidative stress. • α-Lipoic acid normalized the dopaminergic/GABAergic abnormalities in the PFC.
