The expression of agonistic behaviour in groups of laying hens: a regression analysis

The expression of agonistic behaviour, over the first 20 days following introduction, in four groups of six laying hens indicated changes in their mode of physical interactions. Linear and quadratic regression analyses were conducted to identify any similarities in the frequency of expression of behaviours across all social groups. The analyses revealed that the expression of behaviours varied considerably between groups, suggesting a complex context-specific causation.
