Olefin formation in the oxidative deformylation of aldehydes by cytochrome P-450. Mechanistic implications for catalysis by oxygen-derived peroxide

We describe the cytochrome P-450 mediated oxidative deformylation of a xenobiotic aldehyde with introduction of unsaturation into the residual carbon framework.
