Zusammenfassung:Tabulated data are presented on the concentrations of organotin compounds (tributyltin, its degradation products, and triphenyltin) in water, sediments, and 2 bivalves at 5 marinas and one reference site on Geneva lake, Switzerland. The presence of the organotins, including triphenyltin, in the sediments and bivalves suggested that they were being, or had been, used in antifouling paints and /or agricultural biocides, and should be monitored in future. The mussel Dreissena polymorpha is a suitable biological monitor for this purpose.
