Characterization of some biogenic carbonates with Raman spectroscopy

Raman spectra are reported for biogenic carbonate from a scleractinian coral (Porites sp.), pink pigmented (Corallium regale) and unpigmented (Corallium secundum) precious corals, and natural and cultured pearls.
