Zusammenfassung:Different methods were tested for the analysis of radium 226 in different types of water samples. Analytical efficiencies were compared for -ray spectrometry, -ray spectrometry after radiochemical separation, radon 222 daughter nuclides method, 186 keV peak method, -particle spectrometry after radiochemical separation, radon emanation counting in Lucas cell, liquid scintillation counting, and -particle counting after barium sulfate precipitation. Generally, -particle spectrometry is a suitable method for super(226)Ra determination as it combines reasonable sensitivity with good selectivity, and required low detection limits are attainable. Radon amanation counting can be the best choice in cases where low detection limits are required but expensive equipment is not available.
