An ecological simulation reveals balancing selection acting on development rate in the teleost Fundulus heteroclitus
A study developed a computer model that simulated the reproductive strategy in Fundulus heteroclitus in order to quantify and clarify the relationship between development rate, hatching and survival. A balancing selection appeared to act on development rate in this species.
