Zusammenfassung:Four strains of the ascomycete Hypomyces odoratus (Clavicipitales) were cultivated on liquid and solid media. Volatiles were obtained by steam distillation and further analysed by GC and GC-MS. The predominant constituent, hypodoratoxide, a new phytotoxic eremophilane ether was identified by spectroscopic methods, in particular by various 2D NMR correlation techniques.
