Zusammenfassung:	We describe here a patient with mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) who developed severe rhabdomyolysis during treatment with pravastatin sodium, another HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor which has been reported to induce myopathy (6,7). This patient had normal renal function and had not taken any of the above-mentioned medications previously known to possibly potentiate this adverse effect.
