On the creeping property of ropes used for fishing gear and facilities

The authors carried out a series of experiment to make the creeping property of various kinds of ropes emboss, which property has extremely important means for the security of the fishing gear or the facility the ropes serve in as the component materials. The experimental apparatus is consisted of weighing devices and water supplying device with thermostat to the sample ropes. The experimental ropes used are 3 plyed or 8 cross bladed material of PET, PP, PE, Nylon, and Vinylon, 6mm in standard diameter. The time when the sample rope is broken down due to the weighing force of a constant ratio to the breaking strength was the longest in Nylon and PET rope, and the shortest in PE rope
