Zusammenfassung: | 1.
1. Chemoreception in
Planorbarius corneus was investigated using an Y-maze olphactometer.
2.
2. Data were processed in pairs according to the statistical method of sequential analysis.
3.
3. Among the substances tested lettuce homogenate, the amino acids asparagine, arginine, tryptophan, the nucleotide ATP and the sugar α-saccharose are detected, whereas glutamic acid and the nucleoside adenosine are not detected by the snails.
4.
4. By comparison with the results obtained by other AA. and expecially by those investigating chemoreception in another planorbid snail,
Biomphalaria glabrata, it is inferred the possibility that different species may have different chemosensory spectra as a function of their ecological adaptation. |
