Hypertrichosis of the eyelashes associated with zidovudine therapy in the treatment of patients with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) has not to our knowledge been reported as a drug-induced adverse effect. We present a case of hypertrichosis of the eyelashes that occurred two weeks after the patient started zidovudine therapy.
