Zusammenfassung:This article reflects on the relationships of the family environment in which we grow and their potential impact on the choice of couples, from 24 semi-structured in-depth interviews with women. The narratives of the interviewees allow us to see that the family context in which grew and the type of relationship that had shaped his parents - consciously and unconsciously - their own decisions and expectations of married life. The findings made by the study invite reflection on the more traditional discourses of most religions, the state and the more conventional sectors of society in the modern western world, they postulate that marriage is the greatest female desire and the love is the foundation of lasting relationships of couples. The discussion provides additional FAQs about the choice of couples, from family background and personal expectations, which are also used and the findings made by others about the importance of geographical, social and cultural homogamy are discussed.
