Zusammenfassung: | A combined desalination-power generation plant with salt recovery is analyzed. The patented proposed plant utilizes seawater as the working fluid in a power plant operating based on a regenerative-reheat thermodynamics cycle. Compressed and preheated seawater is evaporated in multi-stages direct contact evaporators. Superheated steam is utilized as a heat transfer medium. Expanded steam is condensed in the plant's surface condenser to produce fresh water. Based on the case analyzed in this study, fresh water recovery is 94.8%, and the plant's thermal efficiency is 41.7%. Mg(OH)
2, and NaCl salts are by-products of the proposed plant. |
