Zusammenfassung: | The most promising new species for fish farming in Norwegian waters are the marine species Atlantic halibut (
Hippoglossus hippoglossus), Atlantic cod (
Gadus morhua), ocean wolf fish (
Anarhichas lupus), and spotted wold fish (
A. minor). The main constraints in the commercialization of these species are primarily related to mass rearing of fry. This paper gives a short review of the restrictions on mass rearing of cold-water marine fish fry and the main results from recent research on these four species in broodstock handling, egg and larval rearing. |
