Zusammenfassung:A procedure for the synthesis of 3- super(14)C-3-chloro-4-(dichloromethyl)-5-hydroxy-2(5H) furanone ( super(14)C-MX) using bromoacetic-2- super(14)C acid as the starting material was developed. Use of the radiolabeled product in a distribution study in the rat indicated that the majority of the radioactivity was cleared in feces (47%) and urine (33%) within 48 hr.
