Synthesis of a phthalocyanine 2D covalent organic framework

A new two-dimensional cobalt based phthalocyanine covalent organic framework (CoPc-BPDA COF) has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions. CoPc-BPDA COF exhibits a high surface area (S sub(BET) = 1087 m super(2) g super(-1)), and it can store up to 1.2 wt% of hydrogen at 77 K and 1 bar.
