Effect of Equal Channel Angular Pressing on Corrosion Resistance of Al-Mg Alloy

Al-2.8wt.%Mg alloy samples were subjected to equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) with different number of passes, and the corrosion resistance of as-cast and ECAP-processed samples was investigated by immersion tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements. The results show that th...

Zusammenfassung:Al-2.8wt.%Mg alloy samples were subjected to equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) with different number of passes, and the corrosion resistance of as-cast and ECAP-processed samples was investigated by immersion tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements. The results show that the corrosion resistance of the alloy is improved with increasing ECAP passes.
