Zusammenfassung: | Background: Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) of Human Immune Deficiency Virus (HIV) is a national program to prevent HIV-vertical transmission and comprises of exclusive breastfeeding, exclusive alternative feeding, infant and maternal PMTCT prophylaxes. In order to determine the effectiveness of these strategies we received and analyzed samples from HIV exposed infants under the Early Infant Diagnosis Program in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. |
