Zusammenfassung:In this paper we attempt to: identify and describe all serious adverse reactions to nitrofurantoin in children reported to the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or documented in the medical literature; and derive reporting rates of these reactions in children. On the basis of this information we address the issue of the relative safety of nitrofurantoin in children.
