Zusammenfassung: | The incidence and severity of diarrhoea are increased in children with HIV infection, and diarrhoea is often associated with an increased risk of death in these children. Besides opportunistic agents, classical enteric pathogens may induce diarrhoea. Recently, oral administration of human serum immunoglobulin has been found to be effective in immunocompetent children with rotaviral diarrhoea. We report on three children with HIV infection and rotaviral diarrhoea who were treated orally with a single dose of 300 mg/kg body weight of commercially available human serum immunoglobulins. |
