Rapid Development of Renal Insufficiency with the Simultaneous Administration of Amphotericin B and Foscarnet

During the first half of 1994, we treated three AIDS patients who had CMV retinitis and candidal infection with amphotericin B and foscarnet. In this report, we describe the rapid development of renal insufficiency within 4-5 days of the initiation of combination therapy in all three patients.
