Zusammenfassung: | In January-February 1991 A.I.Voeikov Main Geophysical Observatory specialists carried out aerosol investigations in the vicinity of two highway cross-roads in St. Petersburg (Nepokorennay and Piskarevsky prospects). The LIVO lidar was used. It has the following characteristics: emission wavelength - 0.6943 mu , pulse energy 0.07-0.15J, pulse length -30ns. The lidar was installed in an automobile van. Soundings were carried out from several points of investigated area in different directions. Aerosol mass concentration was measured simultaneously with the help of a filter device. The results showed that there took place significant light extinction within the sounding trace as a result of great aerosol concentration. |
