Understanding teacher enquiry

The National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics (NCETM) subscribes to the view that teachers' engagement in their own research has the potential to contribute to teacher learning, and has funded nearly 100 small-scale enquiry projects. Joubert and Sutherland review the scheme, with a particular focus on the learning of teachers involved in the scheme. This study demonstrates the range in scope and focus of the NCETM Teacher Enquiries, reflecting the wide interests and concerns of teachers of mathematics.
