Convolution and its application to DMA transfer function measurements

Differential mobility analysis using Differential Mobility Analyzers (DMAs) is a widely used technique for measuring particle mobility distributions in the fine and ultrafine particle size regime. Examples are the Differential Mobility Particle Sizer (DMPS) and the Tandem Differential Mobility Analyzer (TDMA). The subject of this work is the theoretical investigation of a TDMA system utilized e.g. to determine DMA transfer functions.
